We've drawn inspiration for the Domenico from the Piazza San Domenico in Naples, an ancient thoroughfare located in the heart of the ancient Neopolis and at the crossroads of the original Greek roads. Overflowing with centuries of masterful architecture-churches, spires, obelisks and palaces-this storied piazza has come to represent the depth, beauty and spiritual resilience of the city.

We've drawn our inspiration for this distinctive silhouette from Marechiaro, a small village located in what is now the Posillipo section of Naples. In the 1960's, this neighborhood became a symbol of the high life, attracting Hollywood stars to its traditional restaurants with views of the splendid panorama of the city and, beyond that, Mt. Vesuvius and the island of Capri. Legend has it that the Neapolitan poet and writer Salvatore Di Giacomo, upon seeing a carnation resting on a small windowsill, was struck with the idea for the famous Neapolitan song, Marechiaro

Inspiration for our Sanita silhouette comes from the Rione Sanita district in the heart of old Naples. Once located outside the ancient walls of the city, the neighborhood became synonymous with the wildness and unpredictability of the multitudes of peoples, races, cultures and customs that congregated there over the ages. Later a creative hub and the birthplace of our beloved artist Toto, Rione Sanita is still bursting with the contradictions, passions and creativity of the Neapolitan spirit.
